The Best Breakfasts in Da Nang City, Vietnam

You're in Vietnam. You have been eating pho, banh mi, and My Quang for a week straight. Your stomach tells you that it needs a break. It needs a real Western style breakfast. Feel no shame, my friends. There is no sin in hungering for a classic plate of bacon and eggs. This list will help guide you to the best Western-style breakfast in Da Nang, Vietnam in 2024 and beyond.

#1 - Diner 66

Diner 66 opened this year (2023) in Da Nang. They have been working very hard to get the menu up to speed, and we can confidently say they are succeeding. They make their own in-house bacon. Smoked and tastes better than anything else you'll find in Asia. Scott, the owner, has several other successful restaurants under his belt, this is not his first rodeo. The entire breakfast menu is recommended!

#2 - Six on Six

Six on Six is a Da Nang classic. You may have noticed them on our top 10 coffee shop list. Well, they're also a great breakfast spot. Nothing is more symbolic than the Six on Six breakfast burrito. Get it with avocado, which they now have on the menu year-round. They have plenty of other great breakfast dishes too, along with smoothies and of course their famous coffee.

#3 - Bikini Bottom

Check out Bikini Bottom for a creative breakfast menu, full of interesting twists on classics. They know how to cook up a good Eggs Benedict, and their Grand Slam makes Denny's a bit jealous. This is one of the most popular restaurants in the city for expats and Western tourists, and it's easy to see why.

#4 - Jeremy's Kitchen

Jeremy's Kitchen has been serving Da Nang with American-style food since all the way back in 2015. One of their most famous dishes is the Chicken 'n Waffles. They have a wide selection of Western breakfasts.

#5 - Breco Coffee & Bread

Breco Coffee and Bread is not your typical breakfast joint. They mix in a bit of Asian flair to a Western-style menu. Their chicken omelet is the perfect fusion of East & West. They also have plenty of healthier options, like homemade granola and plenty of dishes with avocado.

#6 - Happy Heart

Happy Heart is another diner-style restaurant in the heart of Da Nang's tourist area (An Thuong). Happy Heart has a wide variety of traditional breakfast options, including plenty of eggs, bacon/sausage/ham, homefries, and similar. We like their "Canadian Breakfast", which incorporates all the above and some fruit. The owners are also highly involved in the community and helping those with disabilities. Thus you tend to leave this place with a Happy Heart.

#7 - Gordon's Pizza

Gordon's is run by a New Yorker, aptly named Gordon. Initially, they just focused on pizza, but more recently they have moved into breakfast fare as well. Their breakfast menu is limited to sandwiches on Kaisers and bagels, but they do it well. If you just want a quick breakfast fix, this is a go-to spot.

#8 - Bro's Kafe

Bros Kafe is a Vietnamese-run restaurant that focuses on low prices and healthy ingredients. Their croissant breakfast sandwiches are great with the added avocado. They also have a ton of smoothie options at reasonable prices.

#9 - Puna Cafe

Puna Cafe is one of the best coffee shops in Da Nang. They also make a fine breakfast, at a price that will go very easy on your wallet. They also make the most delicious cake in the city. If you want something light while enjoying a fresh cup of coffee, head to Puna Cafe.

#10 - Quán Bò Né Chín Xèo

This local spot puts a Vietnamese spin on Western Breakfast: Bo Ne. Bo Ne is served on a sizzling plate. It consists of a thin piece of beefsteak, eggs, and usually some paté. You are also provided a Banh Mi which is used to soak up all the greasy leftovers on your hotplate. It's probably the highest calorie Vietnamese dish!
